Policy Changes (Effective June 16, 2003)

Court on May 13, 2003*
Definition of Elderly: Changes from
55 or older to 60 years or older (current policies apply for those age55 to
60 who received services within the last 12 months).
Travis County Residency:
Clients must show proof of having lived
in Travis County for a minimum of 60 days prior
to application for assistance, and the intent to remain in Travis County permanently.
Participation in Workforce Development:
Clients requesting assistance more than
once must show proof of participation in a workforce development activity such
as enrollment in training, education, or employment (policy does not apply to
clients who are elderly or clients with disabilities).
Assistance Is Not Guaranteed
Receiving services depends on:
